Oh My, Here We Go...

Where do we begin?

We are now 3 months and 4 days into 2023. For Kim and me twenty twenty-three is a year of intention. We are making all the necessary, hard-as-hell adjustments to be very intentional with what we do, how we do it, and whom we do it with. It's not as easy as one might think! It's calculated and rather frustrating to be so scheduled. Well, at least for me. Kim, on the other hand, loves scheduling EVERYTHING! Yet, even she has found it so very challenging due to just being so very b... bu... (don't do it Sean) busy. Danggit, I said it. I hate that word!

Busy to me is the worse four-letter word out there. Yes, worse than even that word that begins with F. Seriously. Being busy keeps most people active (though active is in the mind of the beholder) and not necessarily productive. In my experience and those much more successful and productive than I am, being busy is not a good thing. It keeps our brains buzzing like little honey bees wings. It leaves us overly exhausted and with not much to see for it. It wears us out from the inside out.

So this year, we are going to be very intentional about not being busy, but rather productive. Delegating tasks to others and finding the "real ones" that we desire to have in our lives. Those people that get us and we get them. To most people, we will probably still be doing too much, trying too hard, and always way too positive. But guess what... most people don't pay for our bills or for our vacations. Umm, scratch that, no one pays for anything that we do, but us.
